A world-class drummer, percussionist, composer, and musical force, Ronnie has spent more than five decades performing with some of the greatest names in jazz Wayne Shorter, Sonny Rollins, McCoy Tyner, Pat Metheny, Jaco Pastorius, Joe Zawinul, Michael Brecker, and many more. He has toured the world and can be heard on more than 170 recordings.
As part of Road to SilverVox, Ronnie welcomes special guest Eric Delente, bringing his extraordinary 7-string electric violin an instrument capable of dropping into bass territory, soaring like a violin, and transforming into sounds you’d swear were coming from an electric guitar.
What happens when you put that range in the hands of Eric and pair it with the extraordinary rhythmic imagination of Ronnie Burrage?
We don’t entirely know. And that’s the point.
This is two musicians listening, responding, improvising, and having some fun discovering new sounds together live, in the moment.
